Hi to ALL,

Several of you have asked about a converter to convert .dct files or
.dss
files to .wav files to work with your existing software. I did some
research and found the following posted in a newsgroup:

U can download express scribe from their website:

http://www.nch.com.au/scribe/essetup.exe
OR
ftp://ftp.audiochannel.net/software/es.zip

If you load the dictation files into Express Scribe--you don't
have to play them, just load them--the program extracts the .wav file
from
the .dct file and saves them in the C:/Program Files/NCH Swift
Sound/Scribe/Current folder. You can use Bytescribe or any other
player to
open the .wav files at that point.

I have checked this out and it is correct. If you load a .dct or .dss
file
into Express scribe you will find the corresponding .wav file in the
above
folder.

Hope this helps.

This is correct. I used to do this often back in the day before Express
Scribe could play .dss files straight up.
