Well, it was a rough 5-1/2 hours, but I lived through my niece's
wedding and reception. Between my brother and his two friends
taking care of the music, my other niece preparing and serving
the food and doing the decorating, and me doing the photos, it
turned out surprising well, considering there was no real
planning until a week before the wedding took place.

I still have a lot of editing to do, but if anyone would like to
see the proofs, let me know, and I'll send you the link.

Okay, I *think* this link should get you there:

http://www.kodakgallery.com/I.jsp?c=tvz7d30.vfqz4do&x=1&y=-wle05z

You'll need to register and set up a password with Kodak Gallery
if you haven't already (it's free). Please note that these are
proofs and I still need to do some editing (i.e., remove
electrical cord and outlet, shadows, etc.).

Click on "Slideshow" and then "Play." There are about 250 prints.

Please let me know what you think.

Great job, can't believe you guys got the directions to look so good and
pulled it all in, in a week. Granted it was a small gathering but still!
Colors looked great, they looked happy, everything looks like it went well
and they'll have good picture memories.

bed with a horrible cold.

I can relate. I've had a major asthma flare since just before
the wedding. I don't know WHERE I got the energy to stand long
enough to shoot the photos.

Very nice job!!! Our son's wife is still complaining about how terrible
their pictures were from their wedding day, and how she was thankful a
lot of people had cameras; however, there are parts of the day when
those attending the wedding were not there (like when the girls were
getting ready).

We've attended other weddings where my husband played backup
photographer and the brides and parents preferred his work. But he says
it's too special of a day to be the person responsible to "get it
right". We have no pictures -- we were young, dumb, broke, and didn't
care, and left the picture taking up to his brother --- there's not one
picture of the two of us together -- and I regret that at times.

Anyway, you did a super job and your niece will be forever grateful!

I think the few other people at my niece's wedding who had
cameras are going to be sorely disappointed with what they got,
as the lighting was awful. I've been in caves that were brighter
than that place. Even I still could have used another strobe.
I'll be sure to buy another one before I ever do another wedding,
though.

Sounds familiar. I worked with a fellow who did some freelance
photography on the side, and he agreed to do my wedding photos
(29 years ago). I got my wedding pictures out this week and
looked at them, and I was surprised to find that he'd only taken
49 photos. Sure seemed like more than that up until this week
when I scrutinized them further <g>.

Thanks! I appreciate your words of encouragement. I'm anxious
for her to see them (probably tomorrow).
